Maverick Theory is excited to introduce Matthew Garry. Originally from Chicago, Matthew embarked on his career journey after completing his film production degree at Columbia College. His passion for live music led him to manage the popular Elbo Room music venue before making a significant move to Los Angeles in 2009.

In LA, Matthew took on the role of General Manager at The Echo / Echoplex, collaborating with Spaceland Presents, a prominent promoter and venue operator. Under his leadership, these venues became influential hubs, hosting diverse acts from indie artists and local acts, to icons like Nine Inch Nails and The Rolling Stones.

During his tenure, Spaceland Presents expanded its operations exponentially, producing shows citywide and acquiring The Regent Theater in DTLA. Matthew played a pivotal role in rehabilitating and opening The Regent, solidifying its status as a premier venue in Los Angeles. In 2021, he moved to Denver to spearhead an opening of venues associated with the Knitting Factory.
